This Thursday (13th November) we welcome guest speaker Paul McDougall to the club. Paul is a true advocate for wildlife photography. His journey from a young nature enthusiast to an award-winning professional photographer is a testament to his dedication and love for wildlife. Through his stunning images, engaging workshopstours, and commitment to mentoring and teaching, Paul hopes he has made an impact on the world of wildlife photography. He hopes his work continues to inspire and educate, ensuring that the beauty of the natural world is captured and preserved for generations to come.

Visitors can attend up to three meetings during the club season, where a £5 door fee is payable.

Welcome to Falkirk Camera Club

Falkirk Camera Club was initially established in 1889 under the name of Falkirk Amateur Photographic Association which brought together a few keen enthusiasts at the dawn of photography. Since then the club has taken various names and finally adopted the current title in 1958. More on the history of the club can be found by clicking on the History button below.

Falkirk Camera Club boasts a full season of activities, ranging from guest speakers and presentations, competitions, practical workshops, and photographic days out. FCC meets on a Thursday evening each week, September to April, when we hold a number of events. We may have a guest speaker, hold internal competitions, host external competitions with another Camera Club or have one of our members’ evenings where we invite members to bring in their own equipment to discuss photographic or camera issues. The first day of each new year session normally consists of a quick resume and get together with the opportunity for potential new members to get to know members and the format of the club.

If you have any suggestions on topics, locations, or give presentations yourself then please contact a member of the club through the Contact Us web page.

Meetings are at Trinity Church, Manse Pl, Falkirk FK1 1JN, are normally every Thursday during our season September to April

Falkirk camera club members have continued to enjoy photography during our close season break with weekly meet-ups across Falkirk district and further afield. Now that we are in August, the start of the new season is getting closer. The 2025/2026 club season starts on Thursday 11th September, we meet weekly from September to April at Falkirk Trinity Church.

For anyone interested in photography, membership at our club offers a comprehensive syllabus filled with guest speakers, internal/external competitions and members nights. The opening night is free to attend where an overview of the seasons activities will be presented. In addition the time before the meeting starts and during the coffee break provides a great opportunity to discuss photography with likeminded individuals.
