It’s been a busy week at our club putting preparations in place for our Welcome night, which is the first night of our new season at Falkirk Trinity Church on Thursday 12th September. Everyone can start gathering in the café from 7pm onwards before proceedings start at 7:30pm. We’ll explain a little bit about what we do, have a look at some photographs, and hear about what’s been happening over the summer.
As mentioned last week our first visiting speaker will be Paul Fraser on 19th September. After a Member’s Night on the 26th we welcome Richard Fox on 3rd October. An acclaimed Landscape and Macro photographer, he will be looking at composition, focusing and post-processing. Richard also has a technique of blending several images together. Later in October we are joined by Barrie Spence, one of the country’s leading Portrait photographers with a particular interest in photographing ballet and other forms of dance.
In this Digital age we see photographs taken on ‘phones, compact and bridge cameras as well as conventional cameras. A few weeks into our season we will also be looking at the workshop topics which will be suggested by club members during the opening weeks.
