Final Monthly Competition of the Season
Judging a photographic competition is a time consuming process. It’s necessary to spend time looking at each photograph, consider the artistic and technical merits of each, decide on what the photographer is trying to portray or convey then decide whether or not they have done it well. The final part is no easier. That’s when the judge stands up in front of of the assembled photographers, and in a positive and inspiring way, delivers constructive feedback. Oh, and by the way, you volunteer to do this.
Enter Susan Spence from Eastwood Photographic Society in Glasgow who visited our club last week to deliver her adjudication of our final Monthly Competition of this season. An excellent photographer in a number of disciplines including Macro Photography, Natural History, Sport and Landscapes Susan had clearly spent a great deal of time analysing our work. Her adjudication was indeed positive, inspiring and constructive and we are grateful to her for all of her work. The results will be on this website soon.
Exhibition – Falkirk Writer’s Circle and Falkirk Camera Club
Now on, in the ground floor turret in Callendar House, is our joint exhibition with Falkirk Writer’s Circle. The theme of the photographs, poetry and prose is Autumn in Callendar Park and shows the autumn colours, the wildlife, and the way the park is used.
Thanks for looking in.
