Following on from Jackie Walker’s Silver Medal win at the Scottish Photographic Federation P.D.I. Championship we have more successes to report.
Janet Hoggan had one Acceptance in the Nature P.D.I. section of the Bristol International Salon of Photography with Hang On In There.
Geof Longstaff had 2 Acceptances in the Bristol International Salon of Photography and was also awarded a P.S.A. Ribbon for Early Light On The Yangtze.
Geof also had 19 Acceptances in the 4 Salons of the Kotor Circuit 2022. ( Montenegro, Ireland, Serbia, Croatia ). Beware – Monkey Business won a Silver Medal.
Agnes Clark had 11 Acceptances in the 3 Salons of the 1st Connacht Circuit.

This is all in addition to our Club’s success in qualifying for the Glasgow & District Photographic Union P.D.I. Image League final. This event will take place online on Wednesday 26th April. More details soon.
Thanks to Stuart Pearson for an update on last Thursday’s busy night at F.C.C. It was the last Members night of the season with Catherine Anderson, Steve Sommerville and Charles Woodford setting up stations demonstrating Macro and Close-Up photography. The use and type of lighting and positioning of the lighting and subject was of particular interest. At a photographic surgery, members discussed the use of Custom settings and Function buttons on their cameras including how separate control of auto focus and light metering could benefit certain subjects. Everyone also viewed submissions to the weekly Theme challenge, Communication.
