A New Start
There are many different styles of photography. ‘ Club ‘ photography is only one and, perhaps unusually for an established camera club, we have always recognised other genres from Historical photography to Contemporary photography with a few stopping points in between. We keep our club members appraised of photographic exhibitions covering the breadth of the medium, we have existing club members with particular interests in different styles of photography and we hold formal and informal workshops which last season covered topics from Macro photography to Street Photography and Portraiture.
This coming season we will be asking our club members for their thoughts on photography in a wider sense and that will shape future events. The type of camera which you use is irrelevant be it inside your ‘phone, a compact or bridge camera, or one where the lenses can be changed. It’s the photographer who takes the picture.
Our new season of meetings begin in Trinity Church in central Falkirk on Thursday 10th September. Gather in the café from 7pm onwards for a 7:30pm start. The first night will be a welcome evening where we talk a little about the season ahead and look at some photographs produced over the summer months.
