Last Thursday we welcomed members from Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Photographic Society, Kirkintilloch Camera Club, and Stirling & District Camera Club. The event was the Scottish Photographic Federation Central and Northern Area 4 Way competition and to judge, John McVie, an official of the S.P.F. and a Grade A judge, travelled up from Dumfriesshire. As is often written in these columns we are always indebted to visiting lecturers and judges and John’s constructive critiques on all the Prints and Projected Digital Images were much appreciated by everyone. Always from the perspective of the photographer, composition, point of focus, depth of field and post processing or printing were discussed passing on information for the photographer to use next time. Deserved winners were Stirling & District C.C. and thanks to all at Falkirk C.C. for hosting a successful evening.
At the Member’s Night on 28th November, Falkirk C.C. members are asked to bring two versions of an image which has been critiqued. Firstly, the original image. Then, the image produced after listening to the assessor. On 5th December, Ken Lindsay from Eastwood Photographic Society visits to deliver the adjudication for Monthly Competition No. 3 then on Thursday 12th December club members go for a Christmas meal.
Thanks for looking in.
