Last Thursday night club President Dave Ferguson welcomed everyone to our A.G.M. where we reviewed the past year, set out our plans for the future and elected a Management Team. He thanked Immediate Past President Bob Black for his tireless and ongoing work on behalf of the club and everyone else who had worked so diligently over the past year. We have an exciting programme of events planned for our 2025 – 2026 season and several projects underway so Dave thanked everyone for their participation and encouraged everyone to become involved over the course of the next 12 months. Each Office Bearer then delivered their report before Trustees and a Management Team were elected.
Among other updates, club members were advised that we have maintained membership of 7 Representative or Regulatory associations. They are: Falkirk Arts Network; the Glasgow & District Photographic Union; the Scottish Photographic Federation; the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain; the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique; the Council for Voluntary Services Scotland – Falkirk & District and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
Thursday 24th April brings our final regular Thursday night meeting of this season. It’s our Print and Projected Digital Image of the Year event where we will recognise our most successful photographers over the past 12 months.
